A Greenville resident has been indicted for allegedly robbing a TD Bank branch in New Ipswich while on federal supervised release. Acting U.S. Attorney Jay McCormack announced the indictment of Eric Lord, 54, on August 6, 2025. Lord is currently held in state custody on related charges and is expected to appear in federal court at a later date.
Court records indicate that Lord is accused of robbing the same TD Bank branch on April 2, 2025, which he previously targeted in a 2014 robbery. At the time of the most recent incident, he was under federal supervision following his earlier conviction.
“The charging statute provides a sentence of no greater than 20 years in prison, up to three years of supervised release, and a fine of up to $250,000 or twice the gross gain, whichever is greater. Sentences are imposed by a federal district court judge based upon the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and statutes which govern the determination of a sentence in a criminal case,” according to information released by authorities.
The investigation into the case was led by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the New Ipswich Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Alexander S. Chen is handling prosecution duties.
Officials emphasized that “the details contained in the charging document are allegations. The defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.”
